If you missed Baboon Fart Story’s short run of publication on Amazon, here’s a few screen captures frozen in time. I still had it open when someone took it down this morning, so I made these crude images. If I have time I’ll make a PDF or something later. Too busy now.
The background of this is here: “Baboon Fart Story” Is Now An Actual Thing
And again, thanks Chuck Wendig, and Phronk, for the laugh.
—EDIT: 11:14 PM—
When I hastily posted these pics this morning I expected to be sharing my little space here with a few people from Chuck Wendig’s blog. I didn’t realize I’d have to elbow my way through a rowdy horde. You people are kind of creeping me out. But hey, while you’re here…
Phronk, author of Baboon Fart Story, has sent me more reviews he managed to capture before someone at Amazon hit DELETE. See below.
Also, if you want a copy of Baboon Fart Story it’s now up for free on Chuck Wendig’s blog. Download a copy. The interior will surprise you. I expected a big ol’ chunk of text with the word repeated and no real formatting…but no. Get yourself a copy, read, and enjoy.
I’m still amazed at what can happen on the internet in a matter of 24 hours.
Here they are. Amazon reviews of Baboon Fart Story by Phronk.
Thank you! And Chuck. The reviews were one of the best parts of this insanity. I have some more screen grabs if you want them…I suspected that it could maybe get taken down. :)
Cool! Yes, send them. kay at kaycamden dot com
I’ll send them tonight when I get back to my home computer, unless Amazon miraculously restores the product page (fingers crossed).
He he, the best part was when he said, “fart.”
100,000 times. haha
This is actually hilarious. Gosh people get precious on twitter and whatnot- if anything – it has highlighted that! Thanks for the screen captures… I’m kinda hoping that they will put the book back up – fingers crossed.
Phronk – You. Are. Awesome.
Chuck – if you read this – You. Are. A. Genius. ;-)
Kay – thanks for capturing the moment of the Baboon Fart Story.
Aw, thank you. :)
It’s been hilarious and surreal, which is one of my favourite combos.
Chuck has the book up to download now: http://terribleminds.com/ramble/2014/02/18/baboon-fart-story-now-available-here-for-your-erm-pleasure/ . You missed out, Amazon!
Yes! Now everyone can appreciate the care you took on the interior formatting.
My pleasure. I couldn’t *not* share this.
I got the book this morning, but I missed out on seeing it up on Amazon, so thanks for posting the screen caps! Those reviews are hilarious. :)
It’s still open in a browser on my other pc. Can’t get myself to close it!

What I love is that this little project generated a significant amount of genuinely enjoyable, high quality writing via reviews… great writing can appear in unexpected places.
Very true! Too bad it couldn’t have stayed up just a little bit longer.
Reblogged this on readful things blog and commented:
If you hadn’t seen everything yet, you will have now. Thank you to Kay Camden for saving this bit of good humour for the rest of us. This is too funny.
